Prove

Them

Wrong

You've already raised millions. Built the product. Signed the customers. But the next round isn't coming. That's where RavenRock starts. We call it Venture Equity.

01

About

We see value where other VCs stopped looking.

Founded by Jason Mackey and Yuri Cataldo, RavenRock was built to serve a market that no one else was serving, and to name a category that no one else had named.

Between venture capital and private equity sits an enormous, underserved gap. Thousands of venture-backed software companies with proven products, paying customers, and real revenue find themselves stranded after their last institutional round. They're growing — just not fast enough for venture's return requirements. They're generating revenue — just not enough for PE to engage. They fall through every crack in the institutional capital market.

We call this Venture Equity.

RavenRock deploys structured bridge capital and a hands-on operational playbook into these companies — working alongside founders to reduce burn, deploy AI tooling, and build a path to profitability. We don't come in to take over. We come in to unlock what's already there. The product works. The customers are paying. Our job is to remove everything standing between a great software business and the outcome it deserves.

For Founders

You built something real.

You raised millions, built the product, and signed the customers — but the next round isn't coming. Your investors have moved on. Your options feel like they're narrowing by the week. RavenRock brings fresh capital, a proven operational playbook, and the conviction to turn your company into the profitable business it should already be. We don't take over. We come in alongside you to cut what isn't working, deploy AI tooling, and build a clear path to profitability — and an exit that actually puts money in your pocket.

For GPs

We solve your hardest portfolio problem.

Every stranded portco tells the same story; real revenue, proven product, no clear path to the next round. It consumes a board seat, drags your IRR, and complicates your LP narrative. RavenRock exists to solve exactly this problem. We bring fresh capital, an operational playbook, and the conviction to see it through - turning your most complicated asset into a clean, resolved position. No fire sale. No writedown. A real outcome.

For Both

This is Venture Equity.

The gap between venture capital and private equity has always existed. Until now nobody built a firm exclusively to serve it. RavenRock deploys structured capital into post-revenue software companies caught between their last round and profitability — and executes a proven operational playbook to get them there. We didn't fit neatly into an existing category, so we created one. Venture Equity is the asset class the market needed and never had.

02

Approach

We invest with conviction in the founders the market underestimated.

Structured Capital

We don't write blank checks. We deploy capital through a structured convertible note with performance-linked terms — protecting our downside while giving the company every opportunity to succeed on its own terms. If milestones are met, everyone wins. If they're missed, we have the governance rights to make sure the company still gets where it needs to go.

Operational Conviction

We get inside the business. We deploy modern AI tooling, reduce operational complexity, and refocus the team on what's actually working. The product already exists. The customers are already paying. Our job is to remove everything standing between a proven software company and the profitability it should already have.

Category Expertise

We built RavenRock because we saw a gap the market wasn't serving. Post-revenue software companies with proven products and broken capital structures fall through the cracks of every traditional investment category. We know this market better than anyone — because we created the framework to serve it. Venture Equity isn't a strategy we borrowed. It's one we invented.

The Right Outcome

We define success clearly before we deploy a single dollar. Every investment has a defined path — to profitability, to a strategic sale, to a PE acquisition, or to long-term cash generation. We don't hold forever and we don't hope for the best. We build toward a specific outcome with discipline, and we execute until we get there.

Our Values
Conviction
We invest where others stopped believing. That takes a specific kind of confidence — in our thesis, in the companies we back, and in our ability to execute when the situation is complicated.
Candor
We tell founders, GPs, and LPs exactly what we see. No false optimism, no empty encouragement. The companies we work with have already had enough of that.
Accountability
We don't sit on boards and send quarterly updates. We're inside the business, executing alongside the team, and our capital is on the line. We own the outcome.
Permanence
We're not a trend. We're not chasing a cycle. We built RavenRock because this market will always exist — venture capital will always produce more stranded companies than winners. We're building the institution that serves them permanently.
